Anycubic PLA Metal is a metallic-effect PLA variant with metal-particle filler for aesthetic surface finish. TDS parameters are specified for a 0.4mm nozzle, matching this printer. The metallic additives lower the max volumetric speed to 7.2 mm³/s vs standard PLA (~12–15). Keep chamber temp low (ideally below 35°C) to prevent heat creep in the enclosed P2S — run the aux fan or keep door slightly ajar if chamber warms above 35°C. Dry filament before use at 55–65°C for 6–8 hours. Retraction distance is estimated for direct drive; the TDS only specifies retraction speed (30 mm/s). Run a pressure advance calibration test to fine-tune the 0.03 PA starting value. Due to metallic pigment particles, a hardened steel nozzle is recommended for extended use to prevent premature wear.
