The Story
I got my first 3D printer — a Bambu Lab P2S — for Christmas 2025. Within a few months, I'd logged over 400 hours on it. Printing became one of my favorite hobbies.
But once I branched out from Bambu Lab's own filaments, things got harder. Every new brand meant digging through data sheets, searching forums, and tweaking settings until I found something that worked. I was spending more time researching settings than actually printing.
I saw a YouTube review of the Bambu Lab P2S where the reviewer said it was "the first printer that made 3D printing about printing, not tinkering with the printer." That stuck with me. The hardware had gotten there — but the software side of filament setup hadn't caught up.
So I built Filwiz. It started as a tool I wanted for myself: upload a data sheet, get slicer-ready settings, and move on to printing. It grew from there into calibration wizards, AI troubleshooting, inventory tracking, and a growing library of 350+ filaments. This is a bootstrapped project, built by one maker who got tired of the manual grind — and I appreciate every person who tries it out.
